How Do I Book?

If you are living in the Perth area and want to register for one of Skilled Welding’s two-hour welding workshops for beginners, you can do so by simply by filling out the form below.

Why should I take up welding?

The process you will be learning through our workshops known as “welding” is the superheating and connecting of pieces of metal to one another. It’s as simple as that!

Through Skilled Welding’s enjoyable welding workshops for beginners and hobbyists, you will learn foundational skills that will position you to be able to start creating welding for beginners projects from scratch at home.

Why book a welding workshop? Well, welding can become a unique skill set to learn for men and women of all ages. It can also become an incredibly rewarding and creative hobby to have. With your new abilities, you could find your own niche market and weld items in your garage. Alternatively, you could pursue welding for more practical purposes, such as being able to fix every day items around the house!

    What will I learn?

When you undertake one of our welding classes in Perth, you will learn how to use a piece of machinery known as a MIG welder.

MIG stands for metal inert gas, and is a simple-to-use tool that creates an electrical current between a base metal and a wire welding electrode, before melting the wire and joining it with the base.

MIG welding is a clean and easy starting point for any welding for beginners hobbyist, as it effortlessly produces a high-strength weld that looks great in its appearance.

Another option in our welding class is a second, and more sophisticated machine known as a TIG (tungsten inert gas) welder, which involves using longer rods which are slowly fed through a weld puddle.

At Skilled Welding’s two-hour welding workshops, we use a user-friendly steel alloy known as mild steel. This material creates finished pieces that are clean and precise.
